RICE Prioritization Tool
How to Use the RICE Prioritization Tool (and Why It Works)
Too many ideas, not enough time? The RICE framework helps you decide what’s worth doing first. It’s a simple way to score product ideas so you can focus on what matters most.
This tool makes that process fast, easy, and free. You don’t even have to sign up for anything!
What Is the RICE Framework?
RICE helps you prioritize ideas with four factors:
- Reach: How many people will this affect?
- Impact: How deeply will it affect them? (1 = minimal, 10 = massive)
- Confidence: How sure are you about your estimates? (0.01–10)
- Effort: How much time or work will it take? (1–10)
The formula is:
(Reach × Impact × Confidence) ÷ Effort
A higher score means higher priority.
How to Use the Tool
- Name your initiative. Add a short title or description of the idea.
